A chorus of jubilant cheers proclaiming, “My 10-year dream has come true!” echoes alongside heart-wrenching sighs of “The server crashed twice!” as the global ticket battle for BTS‘s 2026 ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour rages on. The anticipation for this monumental return is palpable, igniting an epic scramble among fans worldwide.

A Rollercoaster of Emotions: The Ticket Battle
TicketNews, a leading U.S. ticket industry publication, reported widespread server crashes in various regions during the ARMY membership presale on the 22nd. The most talked-about moment? Over a million dedicated fans flooding the online queue for the July 11th Munich, Germany concert, causing systems to buckle under the immense pressure.
The emotional landscape among fans was a tapestry of hope and despair:
- 🥺 One fan took to X (formerly Twitter), lamenting, “I got to the front of the queue for both cities, and the server crashed twice! Please, just let me win once!” This sentiment resonated with many ARMY members who, despite paying for membership, found themselves empty-handed.
- 💘 Yet, waves of triumph also emerged. A fan shared a screenshot of their 2016 tweet, a decade-old promise to “work hard and go to a BTS concert.” Their dream materialized as they secured tickets for two shows, including VIP soundcheck access.
- 😭 Another fan conveyed their trembling excitement: “I’m seeing BTS in Goyang! This will be my first time seeing all seven members as a complete group since 2019.” Countless fans shared messages like “Got tickets!” and “Seeing BTS!” and “Soundcheck win!”, celebrating each other’s hard-won successes.
Unprecedented Demand Fuels Tour Expansion
According to Big Hit Music on the 23rd, the initial three performances at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium (April 9th, 11th, 12th), the tour’s starting point, sold out completely during the fan club presale. The demand was so overwhelming that Big Hit Music announced additional dates in the United States:
- 📆 Tampa: April 28th at Raymond James Stadium
- 📆 Stanford: May 19th at Stanford Stadium
Notably, BTS is only the second artist, following Coldplay, to headline a solo concert at Stanford Stadium, underscoring their monumental status. This tour marks BTS‘s highly anticipated return as a full group after completing their military service, their first world tour in four years. Beginning in Goyang, continuing to the Tokyo Dome in Japan from April 17th-18th, and extending into early 2027, the tour boasts a staggering 81 performances across 34 cities – setting a new record for the highest number of shows in K-Pop tour history.
BTS‘s Heartwarming Ticketing: A Nod to ARMY
Fans have been vocal in their appreciation for BTS‘s ticketing principles.
- 💖 One fan exulted, “No dynamic pricing for the ARIRANG Tour? BTS is truly the best!” This fixed-price policy has earned immense praise from fans. Dynamic pricing, where ticket prices fluctuate in real-time based on demand, has often caused controversy as prices can skyrocket while fans wait in queues. BTS‘s decision to apply a fixed-price system has been lauded as a thoughtful gesture towards their dedicated fanbase.
- 🚨 However, Ticketmaster faced criticism, as reported by TicketNews, for not disclosing ticket prices or seating charts until just before the presale. Mexico’s consumer protection agency (Profeco) even demanded transparency from Ticketmaster and promoter OCESA after receiving thousands of complaints.
