Park Shin-hye, a beloved actress and a certified box office draw, consistently attracts the attention of luxury brands. However, her choices in high-fashion ensembles have occasionally sparked polarizing opinions among fans and critics alike.
Her recent appearance on the popular variety show ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block’ showcased a seemingly simple outfit: a blouson jacket paired with black trousers. While the ensemble was minimalist, many felt the styling didn’t quite match her radiant beauty and chic bob haircut, leaving room for improvement.
Specifically, the Bottega Veneta cotton twill blouson, while a statement piece, didn’t fully enhance her overall look.
This wasn’t the first time a luxury brand choice garnered a mixed response. At the production press conference for ‘The Heavenly Idol’ last year, Park Shin-hye donned a designer dress that, unfortunately, fell short of expectations.
The dress, featuring a unique pattern, was criticized for its muted color palette and dated design, appearing somewhat too mature for the occasion.
Furthermore, its ambiguous length and silhouette seemed to add bulk, detracting from the elegance one expects from an Hermès creation like the ‘Bride de cour remix dress.’
It’s worth noting that Park Shin-hye has a long-standing relationship with luxury fashion, having served as a brand ambassador and a regular attendee of prestigious fashion shows, including Chanel’s in Paris from 2016 to 2018.
Her association with Chanel solidified her status as a fashion icon in the Korean entertainment industry.
Despite her history with high-end brands, some of her more avant-garde or somber luxury fashion choices have unfortunately resulted in divisive looks, prompting a desire to see her embrace styles that are more consistently flattering and aligned with her personal charm.
While Park Shin-hye has undeniable star power and a strong history with luxury houses like Chanel, her recent fashion choices have sometimes missed the mark, failing to complement her natural radiance. We hope to see her explore styles that better highlight her individual charisma and timeless beauty in the future.
